Obamacare and its Website – Both Failures

Filed under: Uncategorized — frankaquila @ 7:46 pm

Obamacare and its Website – Both Failures

President Obama made numerous promises to the people about Obamacare.  He stated in several different ways  that  “no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what.”  Oh Really?  So why has over two million American already been terminated from their health care plan with millions more expected to be terminated?  Why did Lisa Myers of NBC news report on October 28, 2013 that Obama knew three years ago that millions of Americans would lose their health insurance?  Yet, he continued to lie to America!  Also, million more have seen their health insurance cost – triple – while millions more will see their health insurance skyrocket in 2014!  The reason is, Obama lied.  People are losing their health insurance and they are not able to keep their doctor.  This is because Obamacare requires policies sold in the individual market to cover what the law deems essential services like preventative care, rehab and maternity services. People have lost their ability to choose what’s best for their family because the government has chosen it for you and those new policies come at a higher price.  Also, those that have insurance are covering the cost for those that did not have health insurance.  Welcome to Marxism!  Now through Obamacare, you are now paying a tax, the government owns all your medical files, and some bureaucrat will be in charge of determining if you are eligible for certain medical services.  Some older people will be told “No” for a hip replacement or a heart procedure because they are too old; but they can get free birth control.  In essence, the Death Panel.  For many, you will no longer keep your doctor as many doctors are leaving the profession; but you will get a new IRS agent to make sure you are paying your tax since Obamacare provides 16,000 new IRS agents.  Not all will have to pay into Obamacare.  Some, including Obama, Congress, exempt unions and business, government agencies, and the other elite, are exempt from Obamacare.  It is only forced on “We the People”; not the king and and the privileged.  Speaking of privileged, someone forgot to notice that the Obamacare website received a “no bid” contract and it so happened that the contract was given to Michelle Obama’s classmate’s company, who was a donor to the Obama campaign.  The Canadian company charged $678 million to create a website with “glitches” that will cost millions more to repair.  That in itself is criminal.  When it comes down to it, Obamacare has been a failure from the website to system itself, No one in their right mind would want anything to do with it, unless you are exempt from it of course.

                                                                        Who is Exempt from Obamacare?

Should one group of Americans receive an exemption from the higher premiums, mandates penalties, and taxes caused by the requirements of Obamacare? Obamacare was passed through secret deals and exemptions promised to certain groups. Ironically, those who made this law exempt themselves.  Obama, congress, and their staffers all received special exemptions. Obamacare also provides “hardship exemptions” for American Indians, Armish, Christian Scientists, and Muslims.  According to politifact, over 1,000 businesses and unions have also received exemptions from Obamacare.

The following is a list of businesses, unions, and government agencies exempted from Obamacare according to a July 2012 article from the “Free Republic”: 24 Hour Fitness, Allied Building Inspectors IUOE Local 211 Welfare Fund, Alpha Omega Home Health, LLC, Andersen Corporation, Bowman Sheet Metal Heating & Air-conditioning, Bricklayers Insurance & Welfare Fund, Bridge, Structural, Ornamental & Reinforcing Ironworkers Local Union No. 60, Carey Johnson Oil Co, Inc, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany, Cement Masons’ Local No. 502 Welfare Fund, City of Bloomington VEBA Health Savings Plan, City of Burnsville, City of Olathe, Clausen Miller PC, Crystal Run Village, Inc, Delta Apparel, Discovery Benefits, Dr. Trailer Repair, Inc., Employer-Teamsters Local Nos. 175 & 505 Health and Welfare Fund, Entrust, Fabri-Quilt, GC Harvesting, Inc., Glen Curtis, Inc. #2143, Heritage Christian Services, IBEW Local 3 NYC Electrical Division Health & Welfare Fund, Indiana Area UFCW Union Locals and Retail Food Employers’ Health and Welfare Plan, Ingham County, Innovative Driver Services Company, Integrity Data, Inter-County Hospitalization Plan, Inc., Jakov P. So why should about 4 million people, or 3% of America, get an exemption from Obamacare, while the rest of America must abide by the requirements, regulations, penalties, fines, and taxes created by Obamacare?  No one seems to like Obamacare.  Even Obama, the Democrats, and those who supported Obamacare, have found exemptions to avoid Obamacare, while the rest of America is forced to take it.  If Obamacare is so good, then those who created it should be forced to use it, while the rest of America should be provided an exemption.
