The Death of Osama bin Laden

Filed under: Uncategorized — frankaquila @ 4:41 pm

The death of Osama bin Laden (OBL) was a great day for America and the families of the men, women, and children that were murdered on September 11, 2001. There are many people who deserve credit for achieving this historic accomplishment including President Obama, President Bush, the CIA and the Navy Seals for killing the leader of an evil organization that affected all in America.

President Bush deserves credit for initicating the process of gathering information through the approved efforts of enhanced interigation at Guantanamo Bay, a prison camp for suspected terrorists. Bush further approved waterboarding to gather more inteligents on Al-Qaeda, which Obama’s CIA director, Leon Panetta, admits was an essential piece of information that led to the carrier, who lived with OBL in the compound, which had been built in 2006.

President Obama also deserves credit for approving the military plan to capture or kill OBL. However, if Obama had initiated the policies he desired when he campaigned, we would not have killed OBL. During the campaign, Obama had promised to close Guantanamo Bay and also stopped all enhanced terrogations of waterboarding of terrorists. Even the word “terrorist” was forbidden to be used by the Obama administration. Instead the terrorists were called “enemy combatents” and a terrorist act was called a “man caused disater”. Then Obama and his Attorney General, Eric Holder, wanted to provide Constitutional Rights to these terrorist and try them on U.S. soil and provide them Miranda Right, which is the rights given to American citizens. This idea by the Obama administration was insane. America is at war with an enemy that does not deserve the same Constitutional Rights our soldiers have sacrificed their blood to protect. It is a good thing that the Navy Seal that shot OBL saw him as a threat and shot him so he did not have to provide him Miranda Rights.

Another major mistake by the Obama administration was providing inteligence to the enemy. We announced that we have collected the computer files of OBL. This was foolish information to provide to the media and the enemy. We should have kept that information secret and stated that we had OBL but did not get any other information. We allowed the enemy to move, missing further opportunities to get further Al-Qaeda commanders. Now those commanders can regroup and alter their stategy and locations knowing we had their prior addresses.

Another disturbing piece of information was the Obama administration desire to provide a religious funeral for OBL.. OBL received his religious rites on the deck of the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier. In accordance with Islamic practice, OBL was washed and wrapped in a while linnen sheet before his burial at sea within 24 hours of his death. So many victims from 9-11 were not provided the same closer of saying good bye to their loved ones. Further, the White House even refused to provide the American people the photo of his death since they did not want to insite the Muslim world. Obama has become too concern about the feelings of the Muslim world when he should be more concern about the feelings of the American people.

Every Day is Tax Freedom Day for General Electric

Filed under: Uncategorized — frankaquila @ 3:18 am

Dear Editor,
The Tax Foundation in Washington D.C. calculates the tax burden to the average worker and the average taxpayer will work more than four months a year to pay federal, state, and local taxes making a day in the first week in May, Tax Freedom Day. One company, General Electric, made over 14 billion last year and paid ZERO in taxes. How you may ask? Jeffery Immelt is the CEO of General Electric (GE). He and his Political Action Committee (PAC) have contributed millions of dollars to the Democratic National Committee and to the Obama campaign. The sister company, GE Financials, also gave its full contribution limits to the Democrats while MSNBC, which is owned by GE and Microsoft gave Obama $1.2 million. Other PACS and organizations with ties to GE and Microsoft also contributed to Obama.

Once Obama became president, GE appears to have received its payback from the Obama White House. According to the Washington Examiner, GE is the beneficiary of billions of dollars in government contracts through the Cap and Trade legislation. GE also received billions of tax funded money in the financial bailouts. Further, ABC news reported GE paid “not a penny in taxes in 2010”. In fact, GE received a $3.2 billion tax benefit. How, when the top tax bracket is at 35 percent and President Obama spoke for two years about the need to reform corporate taxes to “Simplify, eliminate loopholes, treat everybody fairly”? GE earned $14.2 billion in profits in 2010; but $9 billion was offshore. This was the second consecutive year GE recorded profits of billions of dollars without paying any taxes. During that same time, Immelt had been a close adviser to Obama, serving as chairman of Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, even though under his leadership GE laid off 21,000 American workers and closed 20 factories between 2007 and 2009. Today, more than half of GE’s workforce is outside America.

Jeffrey Immelt and NBC New Chief, Jeff Zucker also told CNBC to stop criticizing Obama’s economic policies while MSNBC referred to the TEA Party movement as racist. NBC, GE, and the Obama agenda are all tied together. They are using their power and influence as a corporation owning a major media outlet to influence politics in order to make money from government contracts, while paying no taxes. Welcome to Tax Freedom Day for America. Tax Freedom Day is everyday for General Electric thanks to their friend Obama.
